Ms. Vietti has a Masters degree in music education from CSU Chico which she earned in 2004. In addition to her Masters and BA Degrees she also has Kodaly certification through McNeese State University, Louisiana. Ms. Vietti is currently the director of Music at Adams Middle School in Brentwood, CA.

Here's what Ms. Vietti has to say about her private clarinet lessons, "Giving lessons can be a very rewarding experience - as much for me as my students. The progress that my private clarinet students make in a short time can be incredible! I love to teach beginners because there is nothing like teaching past those squeaky difficult points. I also very much enjoy teaching the intermediate to advanced player because we have a chance to study quality clarinet literature and really get into musicianship and theory."

I believe in remaining positive, encouraging and patient. Besides a lot of fun, my lessons will include the study of theory, proper breathing, posture, alternate fingerings and even basic instrument maintenance."

Ms. Vietti is available by appointment on Thursdays and Saturdays. Her private tutoring rate is $28.00 per 30-minute weekly lesson, paid monthly in advance.

I am a college student majoring in music who has been playing the clarinet since age 9. I am currently the section leader and first chair clarinetist in my wind ensemble at Diablo Valley College. I also have been playing the piano since the age of 5. My musical education has included studying under Dr. Owen Lee, Dr. Mark Alburger, and some other fine instructors of music theory and performance; as well as learning how to first play the clarinet and the piano from one of the best teachers ever, my sister, Kristine Hepworth.

I have traveled throughout California to perform music and currently sing in a choral group based in Oakland. I also have played the piano in numerous jazz bands and I have performed with my clarinet in honor bands throughout the Bay Area, including a paid performance at Union Square in San Francisco. In 1999 I received a top honor Sight-reading award and in 2003 I was awarded the Ludwig Van Beethoven award.

As far as teaching goes, I love children and always teach with patience. I began giving music lessons at a young age; when people would hear me play and then ask me to give them (or their children) lessons. After a while, I realized I truly enjoyed teaching and decided to pursue it seriously as a career. I look forward to each new student that I meet and can't wait to guide you or your child along the path to becoming a fine musician!

Heather is available in our Antioch store on Mondays and Wednesdays for either clarinet or piano instruction. She charges $25.00 per 30-minute lesson, paid monthly in advance.
