Gill's Music is the largest music dealer and Performing Arts School in East Contra Costa County. Sometimes customers want to find us in order to get a musical instrument rental, or to sign-up for music lessons or even to purchase sheet music and piano method books, but have a difficult time doing so because there are other music stores in the area. This page is designed to help those music customers, musicians, parents and music students who are trying to find Gill's Music.  

Because Gill's Music and Geddes Music have similar sounding names, many people confuse us. Gill's Music is not affiliated with Geddes Music in any way; other than being friendly competitors. Geddes music is owned by busy real estate man Emil Geddes. Emil's small store in Brentwood offers some typical music store services, but in Antioch they are best known for dealing with older used pianos. 

Another local competitor is Music and More owned by John Glick and my buddy Russ Lanier - who I've known since I was a little kid! Even though old Russ and John have a limited selection of merchandise to choose from, they are both very nice guys and treat people well. As a side note you may be interested to know that the store's original owner Don Morrison, along with his store manager Jason White and their former guitar tech Sean Smith all now teach for me at Gill's Music. Don, Jason and Sean are talented individuals and were the secret behind Music And More' early success. Gill's Music is fortunate and proud to have all three of those guys available to help you now at our store.

The only other sort of music store in our area is a place called Kazam Music. This small operation is run by a couple of guys that I don't really know much about. They seem to be mostly involved with putting on rock shows/concerts with bands such as "Malicious Slaughter" and "Savage Machine."
