Solo Jazz Piano:
Tasteful and understated jazz piano music floating through the air helping to create the perfect sonic ambiance for your special event. This is a great choice if you are looking to create an elegant and sophisticated musical background for a cocktail party and/or a fine dining experience.

Piano & Bass:

This type of traditional jazz duo is a good choice if you are looking for just a bit more energy than what a solo pianist can deliver on his own. Adding a bass player will not change the standard piano repertoire much, but will really fill out the music and allow the pianist to improvise a little more; resulting in a more interesting sound for your guests.

1. Night And Day

2. There Will Never Be Another You

3. Misty

Jazz Pianist Jeff Gill will play for weddings and parties in both Contra Costa and Alameda County

Solo Keyboard:
This is an excellent musical choice for a fine restaurant or a small private house party because of the variety of sound and the low cost. I typically will play mostly piano ballads during the first hour and then gradually add in bass, drums and various horns to the mix. Your customers and guests will swear they are listening to a trio!

1. All The Things You Are

2. Sunny

MHJG Duo performing at the Lone Tree Event Center

Keyboard Duo w/ Sax:
This is the way to go if you want a lot of variety in the sound but have a limited budget. In addition to playing classic swing, standards and ballads from the Great American Songbook, this group is able to play some really nice latin and smooth jazz arrangements. The MHJG Duo can be a really good choice if you are looking for the full rich sound of a jazz trio or quartet, but also appreciate the savings in hiring only two musicians.

1. Wave

2. Watermelon Man

3. Dindi

Jazz Trio w/ Piano, Bass & Drums:
A piano jazz trio may be God's answer to the perfect musical group. Well, on second thought, God would probably add a sax and make it a jazz quartet! Seriously, a trio can play almost everything from beautiful understated ballads to classic swing to rhythmic bossa nova. This inclusion of a good jazz drummer (or you can sub a saxophonist) to the piano and bass duo adds a controlled energy level that just can't be beat. This is a superb choice if your event has at least 100 guests and you want the best!
