Julie received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State
University, East Bay. She has over 18 years experience teaching young children, teenagers and adults.
Among her
professional credits include teaching in the preparatory music departments at San Francisco State University, Holy Names
University, St. Cecelia Catholic School in San Francisco, Castilleja School in Palo Alto, the LAGATS program in Livermore
and at Gill's Music - Antioch since 2004.
Julie currently directs the Beginning Youth Orchestra
of Southern Alameda County and is an active member of the Suzuki Association of America as well as a past member
of the Music Teachers Association of California. The Suzuki Violin Method is her specialty. Julie offer her
students three "ensemble-type" recitals each year.
Julie is available
for private lessons at our Antioch store on Thursdays and in our Brentwood studio on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Her rate
for private lessons is $30.00 per 30-minute lesson, paid monthly or quarterly in advance.
